Next steps

The insights gathered from stakeholders during the first three rounds of consultation played a key role in shaping and refining the current design of the project.

Following our fourth round of consultation, all further comments will be reviewed and included in the Pre-Application Consultation Report, which supports our consent applications.

We aim to submit these applications to Aberdeenshire Council and the Marine Directorate by the end of 2025. During the formal representation period of the determination process, you will have another opportunity to share your views and comments on the proposals.

Statutory Consultation Rounds 1, 2 and 3

Engaging with stakeholders is a vital part of MarramWind’s development. We’re committed to designing an offshore wind farm that reflects local needs and delivers long-term benefits for communities across Aberdeenshire and beyond.

As part of our Pre-Application Consultation, we have held three rounds of statutory consultation over 2024 and 2025, which have included:

  • In-person events at both Peterhead and Longside
  • Online Q&A sessions
  • Virtual exhibitions on our website

Around 340 people have taken part, gaining insights into the project, asking questions, and sharing feedback on our proposed offshore and onshore infrastructure.
