Next steps

The insights gathered from stakeholders during the first two rounds of consultation played a key role in shaping and refining the current design of the project. We are now inviting further feedback on our updated project design as part of our third consultation period.

A fourth round of consultation is planned for later in 2025. Details of this upcoming phase will be shared through multiple channels, including this website.

Statutory Consultation Rounds 1 and 2

Engaging with stakeholders is a vital part of MarramWind’s development. We’re committed to designing an offshore wind farm that reflects local needs and delivers long-term benefits for communities across Aberdeenshire and beyond.

As part of our Pre-Application Consultation, we held two rounds of statutory consultation in 2024, which included:

  • Two in-person events at both Peterhead and Longside
  • Four online Q&A sessions
  • A virtual exhibition on our website

Around 300 people took part, gaining insights into the project, asking questions, and sharing feedback on our proposed offshore and onshore infrastructure.

All consultation materials—including booklets, banners, maps, and a feedback questionnaire—were available online through the virtual exhibition. Materials from the consultation can be found here.
