MarramWind submits offshore and onshore consent applications

MarramWind has reached a major milestone with the submission of our offshore consent application, including the Environmental Impact Assessment, to the Scottish Government’s Marine Directorate and the submission of our onshore application for Planning Permission in Principle to Aberdeenshire Council.

This milestone reflects the hard work of our teams, and takes us one step closer to realising our ambitions for this significant floating offshore wind project which could deliver up to 3GW of clean power.

Our submissions have been shaped by the huge amount of dialogue, engagement and consultation carried out over the last three years and our thanks to everyone who has contributed.

The Marine Directorate's consultation on the application now runs until 6th March 2026. You can view more information in our Document Library.

We will continue to progress this exciting clean energy project at pace to bring the MarramWind offshore windfarm to life.
